Public art project of a Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman. In terms of the 12th Festival Contemporary Art in the Traditional Museum.

Florentijn Hofman - sculptor and artist – was born in 1977 in Delfzijl, the Netherlands. He became famous for his giant sculptures in public places, depicting animals or objects of everyday use. One of the most popular projects of Florentijn Hofman is a giant rubber duck which travels all over the world since 2007 and already been to San Paulo, Osaka, Hong Kong, Hasselt, Oakland and other cities. Hofman also created different animals from wood, cardboard, hay, rubber and metal in the Netherlands, Mexico, Sweden, France, Japan, Brazil, Germany, Switzerland and other countries.
The new public art project of Florentijn Hofman is displayed at the Peter and Paul Fortress within the framework of the Netherlands-Russia Bilateral Year 2013.
“Jump into the City” project is organized by the Northwest branch of the National Center for Contemporary Art and PRO ARTE Foundation for Culture and Arts with the support of the Ministry for Culture of the Russian Federation, the Royal Netherlands Embassy in the Russian Federation and Mikhail Prokhorov Fund.
