Virtual Reality

The VR project in a fun way tells about the prison history of the Peter and Paul Fortress and the main investigative political prison of pre-revolutionary Russia — prison Trubetskoy bastion. This program is a wonderful modern addition to the classic tour of the Trubetskoy Bastion prison building.

The virtual reality technology used allows museum visitors to immerse themselves in three-dimensional space with the help of VR glasses and get into the cells and corridors of the Trubetskoy Bastion prison. The participants of the game are invited to try to escape from the most guarded prison of tsarist Russia, from which there has not been a single escape during the entire time of its functioning as a penitentiary institution.

Players are given three attempts. Participants will be able to get out of the walls of the "Russian Bastille" only by showing ingenuity and using the knowledge they have gained about the history of the Trubetskoy Bastion prison: about the regime and conditions of prisoners, about the security and features of the prison building.
