To grantors

The State Museum of the History of St. Petersburg thanks all citizens, participating in the formation of the museum's collections!

Gifts are one of the main sources of replenishment of museum collections.
Items arriving at the museum for replenishment of collections are accepted by the museum for temporary storage on the basis of a personal application of the owner with the registration of an act of the established form.
The issue of including items in the museum collection is considered by the expert fund-purchasing commission of the museum.
The commission determines the museum value of the items and makes a decision on their inclusion in the museum collection or rejects the offer to purchase (accept as a gift). Historical value, artistic merit, uniqueness and good condition of the items are significant advantages when considering.
In case of a positive decision on the inclusion of items in the museum collection, an agreement of the established form is concluded with the owner and an act of acceptance for permanent storage of items in the museum is drawn up.
