The exhibition presents more than 30 works of St. Petersburg artist Alexey Gostintsev of different years.
The exhibition presents works of St. Petersburg artist Alexey Gostintsev. The artist was born in 1950 in Leningrad. Acquaintance with Vladimir Sterligov - an artist, one of the associates of Kazimir Malevich, defined the direction of his work. Since the beginning of the 1960s Vladimir Sterligov organized informal classes in his workshop, passing to young artists principles of world view and formings discovered by avant-garde. Like all other followers of Vladimir Sterligov Alexey Gostintcev develops the traditions of Russian classical avant-garde, uses abstract graphic language and finds new techniques and materials. The exhibition features 30 works reflecting the two sides of the artist’s work. These are art objects - an area in which he had been working during the last decade, as well as his graphic works of different years.Admission to the exhibition with a ticket to the St. Petersburg Museum of avant-garde.
