International Ceramic Art Festival “Leave your mark”

The first international festival of ceramic art “Leave a Trace” will take place August 8-12 2019 from 12 to 6 p.m. by the Gosudarev Bastion at Peter and Paul Fortress and at the exhibition of the Museum of Architectural Ceramics “Keramarch”. The project is timed to the 30th anniversary of the Soviet-American project “Clay Stomp” (Milwaukee, USA - Leningrad, USSR). Russian and foreign ceramic artists, as well as residents and guests of the city who want to “leave a mark” will join the festival. At the end of the festival a large-scale ceramic art object - the globe, a symbol of peace and friendship will be created. It will be placed later in one of the public spaces in the city. 30 years ago, a similar festival was held in Leningrad. It took place on the bank of the Neva River, Several thousand people “trampled” about 6 tons of clay and made a monumental ceramic panel. The first action of the Soviet-American project “Clay Stomp” was held in Milwaukee (USA) Program of the festival: August, 8 (Thursday): 12:00 - press conference (Gosudarev bastion, Keramarch Musem). 13:00 - start of the Festival “Leave a mark” (the main stage at the Gosudarev bastion). Start of workshops. 14:00 - Opening of an exhibition (Gosudarev bastion, Keramarch Museum). 13: 00–18: 00 – workshops by guest artists August, 9 (Friday): 12:00 - discussion "From traditions to future". Topics for discussion: preservation of traditions in the conditions of technology development, state support of personal initiatives, development of international cooperation, exchange of experience. 13: 00–18: 00 – workshops by guest artists August, 10 (Saturday): 12:00 - Grand opening of the “Leave a mark” festival (main stage). 12: 10–18: 00 - “Leave a mark” campaign (“Clay Stomp”; the main festival site) - collective clay feet kneading; creation of globe; public creation of modular parts for background 12: 10–18: 00 - “Clay Stomp Fest” - the musical part of the festival, performance of popular singers and groups (main stage). August, 11 (Sunday): 12: 10–18: 00 - “Leave a mark” campaign (“Clay Stomp”; the main festival site) - collective clay feet kneading; creation of globe; public creation of modular parts for background 12: 10–18: 00 - “Clay Stomp Fest” - the musical part of the festival, performance of popular singers and groups (main stage). 18:00 - Closing ceremony.
