The painting collection includes two thousand works of art, executed in oil painting on various supports (canvas, wood, hardboard, cardboard, paper). These include figurative and abstract paintings of various genres: landscape (primarily urban), portrait, historical, genre, and still life. Watercolours and drawings ¹⁴
The "Drawings and Watercolors" section features over 15,000 works of fine art executed in watercolor, gouache, ink, various types of pencils, including sanguine and dry pastel, and mixed media. Various genres are represented: cityscapes, portraits, still lifes, genre compositions, architectural sketches, sketches of city holiday decorations, sketches for posters, book illustrations, ... ↓
Prints and lithographs ³²
The "engravings" and "lithographs" sections, collectively known as printmaking, comprise approximately 6,000 works created using the techniques of high-press, intaglio, flat-screen, and screen printing (etching, aquatint, linocut, woodcut, monotype, silkscreen, and lithography). The collection features works by prominent representatives of the Leningrad graphic school.

More than 27 000 items. The collection of the contemporary painting and graphics stores the works of Leningrad - St. Petersburg artists of the XX-XXI centuries. All types of prints, drawings, watercolors, gouache, tempera and paintings are represented in this collection. A significant part of the collection is occupied by works devoted to the Great Patriotic War and the Siege of Leningrad. Chronologically, the works in the collection cover the period from 1917 to the present day.
