The Timeless City. Lost Locations in St Petersburg.
from 12 December 2019 to 30 September 2020 The exhibition focuses on preservation of historical, cultural and architectural heritage of St. Petersburg. During three centuries, the look of the city was constantly changing, some buildings were lost. But their image is preserved in paintings and graphics, photographs and other materials that belong to the State Museum of History of St. Petersburg. The period from the 1880s to the 1980s is especially widely represented in the museum collection. You will be able to travel through time from the imperial Petersburg to the Soviet Leningrad, find out how our city looked in different times, and see the lost architecture monuments and signs of everyday urban life.
