The exhibition is timed to the 100th anniversary since the first time the futuristic opera Victory over the Sun was staged. This premier became one of the most important events in the history of Russian Avant-garde. The exhibition features photographs, letters, postcards, posters, reviews, sketches for costumes and stage settings, video footage of five settings from the collection of the State Museum of the History of St Petersburg, St Petersburg State Museum of Theatre and Music, Central State Archive of Cinema, Photographic and Phonograhic Documents in St Petersburg, Institute of Russian Literature (the Pushkin House), National Library of Russia and private collections.
Admission to the exhibition with a combined ticket for visiting temporary and permanent exhibitions of the Museum of St Petersburg Avant-garde.
