The museum presents exhibition about upbringing and education in noble families at the turn of the 20th century, about favourite activities, hobbies and games of children of that time. It brings together exhibits from the collections of the State Museum of the History of St Petersburg, Russian National Library and the Library of the Russian Academy of Science: books and magazines for children, photographs, children's drawings and albums, toys, costumes, household items and much more.
Childhood is the happiest time in everyone's life. “Golden childhood… Noble delights” – with these words Alexander Blok described his own childhood. What are the differences between leisure time of noble offspring of Silver Age and modern children; what books did they read; which games preferred?
