The exhibition tells about traditional Russian pottery, clay processing technologies, main types of ceramics (terracotta, majolica, faience and porcelain) and decoration methods on the example of the items from the collection of the State Museum of History of St Petersburg.
The exhibition shows ceramics and porcelain of the 18th – 21st century of different functional use: bricks, stove tiles, sanitary ware, tea and dinner services, decorative vases and much more.
At the interactive area of the exhibitions visitors can learn the basic stages and principles of working with clay.
